Driver allegedly causes 4-vehicle crash in Dane County, caught by K9 after hiding in marsh grass
MADISON, Wis. (CBS 58) -- One man was arrested for Felony OWI after fleeing from a crash on USH 151.
According to the Dane County Sheriff's Office, officials were called to a 4-vehicle crash on USH 151 approximately 1 mile south of CTH V in the Town of York.
It happened around 9:40 a.m. on Monday.
The investigation revealed that the driver of the suspect vehicle, 29-year-old Landy Cardenas-Hernandez of Sun Prairie, was driving northbound on USH 151 when he crossed the centerline and struck a semi which was traveling in the southbound lane.
Cardenas-Hernandez's vehicle subsequently struck two other vehicles which were traveling in the soutbound lane directly behind the semi.
Immediately following the crash, Cardenas-Hernandez allegedly fled the scene on foot.
A perimeter was established and K9 Kimo located Cardenas-Hernandez who had completely concealed himself in the marsh grass.
Cardenas-Hernandez was booked on charges of OWI-5th Offense.
There were no injuries as a result of this crash.
