DPW cancels overnight snow removal operation, regular winter parking rules still in effect

MILWAUKEE COUNTY, Wis. (CBS 58) -- DPW has confirmed to CBS 58 that they've issued over 5,000 parking tickets since January 14.

From January 14 to January 15, 1,835 parking tickets were issued.

From January 15 to January 16, 3,231 parking tickets were issued.

The City of Milwaukee Department of Public Works Operation is now canceled for overnight January 16/17.

City residents are reminded that winter parking rules are still in effect and that posted street signs takes precedence in all areas of the city. Please read the street signs on the block/in the neighborhood for winter parking instructions BEFORE YOU PARK. As not all winter parking rules are posted, residents should also check for parking restrictions at milwaukee.gov/winterregs.

Residents can also call (414) 286-CITY (-2489).
Please remember that a valid overnight parking permit is required for any vehicle to park overnight on a City street.

For information on parking permits, regulations and downloading the MKE Park app, go to milwaukee.gov/parking.

DPW thanks Milwaukee residents, visitors, and businesses for their cooperation and patience during our recent snow removal efforts.
