MILWAUKEE -- Department of Public Works crews battled a water main break that sent water gushing into the road on Milwaukee's south side.
A 16-inch pipe burst near 50th and Howard Monday morning, and is one of the city's larger pipes, according to Sandy Rusch Walton, communications manager for the City of Milwaukee Department of Public Works.
We're told water main breaks of this type are typical in severely cold weather.
