MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- A downtown business improvement district is introducing seven unique coin parking meters on Wisconsin Avenue as part of an initiative to end chronic homelessness in Milwaukee.
They'll collect donations for "Key to Change," a campaign that will help the homeless find housing and jobs.
People can also donate to the Housing First Initiative Endowment Fund with the greater Milwaukee Foundation.
"One hundred percent of these funds will go to services, they're not going to salaries or anything else for agencies. This is a 100% contribution to our homeless individuals," says James Mathy, Director of the Milwaukee County Housing Division.
There are six Key to Change meters in downtown Milwaukee one at 16th and Wisconsin on the Marquette University campus.
