MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Nickelodeon has expanded its Dora franchise with the original live-action film "Dora and the Search for Sol Dorado," coming this week to Paramount+ and Nickelodeon.
Cast members Samantha Lorraine and Jacob Rodriguez joined us Tuesday, July 1 to talk about the adventure story and production experience.
The film centers on Dora and cousin Diego searching for the treasure of Sol Dorado, believed to grant wishes. They described filming as filled with jungle challenges, wild animals and moments exploring the set between takes. Both said the story keeps classic Dora traits while adding new elements inspired by adventure films such as "The Goonies" and "Indiana Jones."
"Dora and the Search for Sol Dorado" will debut Wednesday, July 2, on Paramount+ and Nickelodeon.
