A Packers legend known for his skills on the field was honored today by the Milwaukee Fire Department. Donald Driver was at fire station #2 to talk about seatbelt safety.
It’s all part of the ‘Click It or Ticket’ campaign. The annual seatbelt safety campaign kicked off today.
Packers all-time leading receiver Donald Driver has been the face of the campaign for several years.
The state is launching a new set of TV spots with Driver about seatbelt safety.
They say since they started airing ads with Driver a few years back, seatbelt use in Wisconsin is at an all-time high.
Because of his dedication to the campaign, the fire department named him an honorary fire chief of the Milwaukee Fire Department.
“If we think that just doing this alone that just my voice makes people change and wear a seat belt, that doesn’t do it alone. We need every person and it’s an honor that my voice still carries so much weight.”
The ‘Click It or Ticket’ mobilization runs through June 4th.
