Dodge County crash sends three to hospital

The Dodge County Sheriff's Office says they were called to a crash at County Trunk Highway R near the intersection with County Trunk Highway SC at about 2:40 AM Sunday morning.

When officials arrived on the scene they discovered a 1996 Nissan was driving east on Highway R approaching the curve when the car failed to negotiate that curve and flipped hitting a utility pole. There were three people in the car including a 20-year-old man from Loveland, Colorado who was thrown out during the crash and taken to UW Hospital in Madison.  

A 45-year-old man from Minneapolis had to be cut from the vehicle and was flown to Summit Hospital in Oconomowoc. The 27-year-old male driver also from Loveland, Colorado received minor injuries and was taken to Watertown hospital.

The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
