Disabled Stevens Point Veteran Creates Cupid Snow Sculpture

STEVENS POINT, Wis. (WSAW) -- To celebrate Valentine's Day, a disabled veteran in Stevens Point has created a cupid and snowman sculpture.

Jef Schobert has been creating snow sculptures for nearly 40 years.
In that time, he's created dragons, Packers-themed, Star Wars, angels and of course snowman families. Jef, a disabled veteran said snow sculpting a good way for him to “get out of the house”.

Just in time for Valentine's Day, Jef's created a cupid and snowman sculpture at his home on 2617 Clark Street in Stevens Point. He said each sculpture takes around three hours to complete.

While Jef's snow sculpture season is likely come to an end as temps his the mid-40s this week, he's created a Facebook page to share some of his more memorable designs.

Jeff said he's planning on doing a snow sculpture for a 4-H food drive in Plover later this month, weather pending of course.
