Direct deposit stimulus payments may begin to arrive as early as Tuesday night, Mnuchin says
WISCONSIN (CBS 58) -- United States Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin announced that the second round of $600 stimulus payments may begin to arrive in some accounts by direct deposit as early as Tuesday night, Dec. 29.
Mnuchin tweeted Tuesday that the US Treasury has delivered a payment to the Federal Reserve for Americans' economic impact payments.

The tweet says paper checks will begin to be mailed Wednesday, Dec. 30, and payments will continue into next week.
