Devastating Fire Hits Home on Milwaukee's North Side

Milwaukee Fire Department crews spent hours on the scene of a house fire Wednesday, December 2nd. The fire was centered on the second floor and attic of the two and a half story home at 20th and Meinecke on Milwaukee's north side.
Efforts to put the flames out started around 4:30 AM and lasted over two hours. One adult was at home at the time and escaped without injuries. The Red Cross is assisting the resident with finding essentials and a place to stay.
The investigation into what started the fire is ongoing.
