Deputy rescues woman from Wisconsin River in Adams County

ADAMS COUNTY, Wis. (CBS 58) -- A woman was rescued from the Wisconsin River Wednesday, according to the Adams County Sheriff's Office.

Police say a woman was reported in the water near the State Highway 82 bridge near County Highway Z in the town of Springville.

According to a police report, bystanders were attempting to aid the woman in the water when deputies arrived.

A deputy went into the water and retrieved the woman, who was then treated by EMS and taken to a local hospital for non life-threatening injuries.
