Delafield Mother Allegedly Admits to Drinking then Breastfeeding Child

A Delafield woman has been charged after allegedly admitting to police breastfeeding her infant after drinking.

She was charged with child neglect and disorderly conduct.

The child’s father called Caledonia Police regarding an “out of control intoxicated female.”

He said while she was intoxicated, they engaged in an argument over their relationship.

According to the criminal complaint, he told police she nearly dropped their child. He said 30 minutes before police arrived he observed her breastfeeding the child after consuming alcohol.

The mother allegedly admitted to breastfeeding the child prior to police arriving. Her BAC was .21 when a breath sample was taken at the jail.
