Defense fund launched for Milwaukee County Judge Hannah Dugan

MILWAUKEE COUNTY, Wis. (CBS 58) -- A legal defense fund has been started for Milwaukee County Judge Hannah Dugan. 

According to a press release, it was created to raise resources to help the Milwaukee Circuit Court judge defend herself in court. 

Restrictions include no donations from any Milwaukee County residents, licensed attorneys who practice in Milwaukee County, lobbyists/lobbying firms, members of the Wisconsin judiciary, parties with pending matters in Milwaukee County Circuit Court, Milwaukee County employees, or non-citizens. 

On Thursday, May 15, Dugan pleaded not guilty to helping a man evade federal immigration agents. 

Former Wisconsin Supreme Court Justice Janine Geske will oversee and serve as the trustee of the fund.
