Deadline Approaches For ACA Enrollment

The deadline to sign up for health insurance through the Affordable Care Act is just days away.

According the Milwaukee Enrollment Network many are waiting until the last minute to sign up.

\"I think that's how people work, they don't act until they feel they really need to,\" said Health Specialist Danielle Zirkel.

The deadline is Monday, but there will be an extension up until mid-April. It only applies to those who have already started the enrollment process but have not completed it.

There is a fine for those who don't sign up.

\"The following year you will be assessed a tax penalty or a fine. The first year it's $95 or a percentage of your income, whichever is higher,\"said Zirkel.

Here is a list of the following places which will be open on Saturday March 29th, to help with enrollment.

12:30 p.m.- 4:30 p.m.

Bayview Public Library
