'Dazzling new production' Guys and Dolls returning to the stage in Milwaukee

A musical that premiered on Broadway 67 years ago returns to the stage in Milwaukee in a dazzling new production.

The Milwaukee Rep's production of "Guys and Dolls" opens September 19th.

The musical comedy follows two small-time gamblers as they pursue love and luck, from the heart of Times Square to the cafes of Havana, Cuba.

CBS 58 News stopped by rehearsals and caught up with award-winning choreographer Stephen Mear.

"This show, because this music is so fantastic, it's a great start for a choreographer. If the music's great, you can choreograph forever and all the numbers are joyous," said Choreographer Stephen Mear.

The Tony award winning Guys and Dolls runs September 19th through October 29th at the Rep's Quadracci Powerhouse Theatre.
