Darrell Brooks pleads no contest in Milwaukee County domestic case

Milwaukee County Circuit Court

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Darrell Brooks, the man who's serving six life sentences for the 2021 Waukesha Christmas parade attack, will not face trial in Milwaukee for unrelated charges.

He was scheduled to go on trial Monday, May 6, for running over the mother of his child and trying to intimidate her into not testifying against him.

Instead, he pleaded no contest to two of the charges against him -- recklessly endangering safety and threatening a victim.

Six other charges were dismissed.

Brooks will be sentenced for the two Milwaukee charges on Aug. 16.
