Dan and Ray render thanks for the 15th year in Racine
RACINE, Wis. (CBS 58) -- Dan and Ray Rendering Thanks celebrated its 15th year in Racine feeding families and people in the community. The doors are open to anyone who wants a hot meal.
Dan, Ray and about 300 volunteers cook turkeys, stuffing, sweet potatoes, green beans and more. Over the last 15 years, the event has more than tripled in size. This year they anticipate 4,000 people coming through the serving line.
Dan and Ray pride themselves on giving people a high-end meal in a nice banquet setting.
Food is served at Racine’s Festival Hall, 5 S. 5th St., from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
This year more than 185 turkeys were carved for the big day.
