Cycling for a cause: Bike4Friendship registration is now open

FOX POINT, Wis. (CBS 58) -- Friendship Circle in Fox Point is known for the work it’s doing to help people of all abilities.

Every summer, the community comes together to pedal for a purpose.

The annual Bike4Friendship is a big event to raise awareness, funds and support for people of all abilities.

“Bike4Friendship is a way for the community to say, ‘I care.’ It’s a way for the community to say, ‘we support you,' especially when talking about people with disabilities, and they’re struggling with mental health. It’s fun, it’s healthy and it’s a good time,” said Levi Stein, president of friendship Circle.

This year’s event will be held on July 20. There will be multiple distance options: 5k, 30-, 60- and 100-mile rides.

The earlier you sign up, the more perks there are for cyclers. The first 25 people to sign up through May 20 will get a free bike tune up. Registrants will also be entered to win a free billboard for a day, with the ability to put any message they want on it.
