EAGLE, Wis. (CBS 58) -- This Saturday at Old World Wisconsin in Eagle, you can visit with the Wheelmen and their bicycles and tricycles, watch demonstrations of historic cycling, and enjoy a vintage cycle parade through the Crossroads Village in Eagle.

With plenty of pedal power back to the past, the Wheelmen is a national, non-profit organization dedicated to keeping alive the heritage of American cycling. It's all about promoting the restoration and riding of early cycles manufactured in and before 1932 and encouraging cycling as part of modern living.

Nick Hoffman, co-author of "Wheel Fever" tells us all about the early history of cycling in Wisconsin.

You can also try out your own cycling skills on a stationary high-wheel or peddling a replica adult tricycle around a track. The cost is included with general admission. Members are admitted for free. The event goes from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. Click here for details.
