Cudahy house fire leaves 1 person rescued by fire department, transported to hospital
CUDAHY, Wis. (CBS 58) -- The Cudahy Fire Department was dispatched early Monday, Jan. 1 to a house fire near Packard and E. Ramsay. Crews arrived at the scene shortly after receiving the call a little after 8:30 a.m. at a single-family home.
Upon arrival, firefighters conducted a search where they found smoke throughout the house. The team found and removed the lone occupant from inside the home.
The individual, whose condition has not been reported by CFD, was transported to Ascension Columbia Saint Mary’s Medical Center in Milwaukee for medical attention.
A press release from CFD notes that they worked alongside several neighboring fire departments, including South Milwaukee, Oak Creek, Greenfield, Saint Francis and Milwaukee.
The cause of the fire is reportedly still under investigation.
