MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Milwaukee police need your help to find a man who walked into a convenient store and started shooting at another man.

It happened near the intersection of West Fond du Lac and Capitol Drive on April 18 in broad daylight.

Surveillance video shows a male suspect walking into the convenient store and charge a man while pointing a gun at him.

The two start fighting while the other people in the store try to hurry up and get out. The brawl knocked over store shelves and ended when the suspect shot at the man inside the store -- he got him in the leg.

Video outside the store shows the suspect running away afterward.

"It appears that this suspect was looking for this victim, knew who he was looking for, knew who this victim was. As to what the motive is between the two of them, it' still unknown at this point," said Detective Shannon Orvis, Milwaukee Police Department.

The man who was shot survived, but detectives say he's not giving them any information, so they need your help to get him off the streets.

"I would consider a definite issue for public safety. The way the suspect came into this store a public place where other people were in the vicinity and engaged in this behavior, this fight and then the shooting on a whim with no consideration for the other people around, I consider this suspect to be very dangerous to the public," said Detective Orvis.
