WAUWATOSA, Wis. (CBS 58) -- In a press release, Wauwatosa Fire says they responded to the fire just after 1:30 a.m. Monday near 60th and Garfield. When firefighters arrived they found the house with moderate fire and smoke on the second floor.
Firefighters were able to put out the blaze in less than 25 minutes.
A tenant on the second floor woke up from loud noises and walked out of his bedroom to see his living room on fire.
Tenants from both units were able to escape without injury. The upper unit suffered fire damage and the lower unite suffered smoke and water damage.
Officials say the fire started in the upper unit's living room but an exact cause has not been determined. The fire is not considered suspicious.

WAUWATOSA, Wis. (CBS 58) – The Wauwatosa Fire Department responded to a fire near 60th and Garfield early Monday morning.
Authorities say the tenants evacuated themselves from the building and no one was hurt.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
