Crews respond to house fire in Racine

RACINE, Wis. (CBS 58) – No one was hurt in a fire at a Racine home Sunday night.

Fire crews say they were called to the home near Lathrop Ave. and Lindermann Ave. around 11:45 p.m. for a report of a smell of smoke.

When authorities got to the scene, a fire was found in an upstairs bedroom. Fire officials say there were several people home at the time, but everyone got out safely. The damage is minimal and residents returned to the building.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
