Couple from New Mexico Arrested in Kenosha County Driving Stolen Jeep

A couple from New Mexico was pulled over on I-94 near 7-mile Road driving a stolen vehicle.

The driver of the car was Joe Armijo and the passenger was Charmayne Lopez.

The vehicle came back stolen from New Mexico.

The owner told police he picked up an unidentified couple in Belen, New Mexico to help him get a driver’s license.

The man was with allegedly Charmayne getting paperwork when the female left him to go to the bathroom and never returned.

When he returned to the parking lot he realized his vehicle was missing.

Lopez told the state trooper that she bought the vehicle in New Mexico.

Armijo told the trooper he wanted to take blame for the stolen vehicle.
