MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Talk about a pretty sweet deal. People who rolled up their sleeves at a local COVID vaccine clinic Thursday, April 15, received a treat in return.
Free cookies from nearby Canfora Bakery were handed out to people vaccinated Thursday at Kosciuszko Park on Milwaukee's south side.
Milwaukee County Executive David Crowley was on hand, encouraging people to get vaccinated.
"I have received my first dose a couple weeks ago, and I'll be receiving my second dose on this upcoming Monday," he said. "So I want folks to know that I didn't have any side effects other than a sore arm."
While many people are getting vaccinated, Crowley is still asking the public to mask up, social distance, sanitize and wash your hands.
