A young man accused of trying to steal a woman's car outside of a Greenfield grocery store and then brutally beating her appeared in court Friday morning.
18-year-old Corleon Thomas appeared in court for his preliminary hearing. He's facing multiple charges in connection to an attempted greenfield car jacking. Thomas is accused of trying to steal a 31-year-old woman's car in the parking lot of Pacific Produce and attacking her with brass knuckles.
The incident happened in July.
Thomas is now facing 12 charges including taking and a driving a vehicle without consent and robbery with use of force. Friday he waived his preliminary hearing which means the judge automatically finds probably cause.
Thomas will have his arraignment and bail review hearing on August 28 at 1:30 PM.
