WAUKESHA, Wis. (CBS 58) -- Improving community and police relations can be a serious endeavor. Sometimes, it can be fun too!
A Cops & Kids Bowling Event was held at Sunset Bowl in Waukesha. Officers from both Waukesha and Milwaukee were on hand to give kids a positive experience, something that can help both the kids and the officers in the future.
"It definitely makes our job a lot easier when they cooperate with us, they trust us, and know that we are truly here to help people more than get people in trouble," said Officer Dan Klein with the Waukesha Police Department.
The event included a t-shirt and a gift bag for the kids along with a special Thanksgiving lunch.
