LAKE GENEVA, Wis. (CBS 58) -- Internationally recognized dancers will perform the contemporary ballet "Sylph" at the Ferro Pavilion in Williams Bay on Wednesday, Aug. 27 and Thursday, Aug. 28.
The production will serve as the final show at the pavilion before its scheduled removal and replacement.
The piece, choreographed by Dawn Springer, reimagines classical ideas of the sylph, a mythological air spirit often tied to ballet history. The performance blends international talent from Japan, Venezuela and the United States.
Springer joined us on Wednesday, Aug. 20 to discuss the homecoming premiere of "Sylph" and its exploration of power, myth and reality. The ballet is presented in the round, designed to minimize separation between performers and the audience.
