WISCONSIN (CBS 58) -- Former Supreme Court Justice Dan Kelly has won the spring primary over Judge Jennifer Dorow.
Kelly, who lost his seat by 10 points in 2020, will now face liberal opponent Janet Protasiewicz in the April 4 general election.
His loss in 2020 had many Republicans concerned about his ability to win, but he said his campaign is "just fine" and he is focused on keeping Protasiewicz off the Wisconsin Supreme Court.
"It is about maintaining the court as a court," he said. "The only reason that a jurist will discuss personal values, personal politics with the voters, is if they intend to use those to decide cases."
Though Kelly was behind Dorow on fundraising for the primary, he told CBS 58 he believes he is the best candidate to raise outside money for April's election.
