Concert for Kimmie" is being held Sunday, July 30th at Regner Park in West Bend from noon until 9 p.m.

There will be music, a silent auction, kids activities, bounce house, guest speakers, resource tables, vendors, food, and most of all a celebration of the life of Kimmie Landon, a beautiful soul gone too soon.

For early risers, there is a 5K Run for Recovery starting at 8 am with same day registration at 7 a.m., in Regner Park. The run/walk is to support recovery or in memory of someone lost to addiction.

All proceeds will benefit the Kimmie Landon Fund, a scholarship fund for women to live at Aspired's sober living home who otherwise couldn't afford it.

Kimberly Landon was the daughter of Tim Landon and Jessica McConkey and sister of Samantha Landon.

She passed away May 17, 2016.

Behind her beautiful smile, Kimberly hid a long and painful battle with an addiction to heroin.  As her family put it, in her heart she had wanted to quit and overcome the daily tortures but tragically the addiction would not let her.

The family is hoping to erase the stigma to allow people to more freely talk about the topic and find the help they need to stay alive.

Her mother is also advocating for a law that would mandate 15-year prison sentences for people convicted of contributing the drugs that caused a death.
