GERMANTOWN, Wis. (CBS 58) -- The community came out to support the restoration efforts of a historic Germantown building on Thursday, June 13.
Last August, the shed at the Trinity Freistadt Historical Society burned down. Inside, there were a lot of artifacts, including a carriage, and a toy collection from the 1800's.
Now, nearly a year later, they're still working on restoring the shed.
So far, they've rebuilt some of the beams, corner braces, and they're currently working on rebuilding the doors.
CBS 58 was told the fundraisers are "critical" to the restoration.
"We have people, they donate to us all year around. Even when we're not having fundraisers, when you come there, there's opportunities for you to donate," said Randy Pipkron with the historical society.
Pipkron says they still need thousands of dollars to restore the shed.
