Columbus man suffers serious injuries in rural Dodge County crash

A rural Columbus man is in the UW Hospital in Madison with life threatening injuries after his pickup truck left the road in the Dodge County Township of Elba and struck a tree late Saturday night.   According to the Dodge County Sheriff’s Office, around 10:40 PM, the 2008 Ford Ranger driven by 28-year-old Joshua Marks was east bound on State Highway 16/60 when it left the road and collided with the  tree.   The crash remains under investigation, but the Dodge County Sheriff’s Office believes that speed and alcohol were factors in the crash.
