It was a glorious mid-November weekend across southeast Wisconsin with abundant sunshine and temps in the 50s. This great weather won't continue into the start of the work week as an area of low pressure approaches and passes us by to the south.
Clouds will increase overnight with overcast skies expected Monday as the low pressure system pushes closer. The high pressure system to our north will keep plenty of dry air in place throughout the day, so we likely won't start seeing rain reach the ground until Monday evening.
Rain will become more widespread Monday night into early Tuesday morning. This will be a cold rain with temps in the upper 30s to low 40s.
A few wet snowflakes may mix in Tuesday morning as the rain departs, but no impacts are expected due to temps well above freezing. Rain, for the most part, will taper off by early afternoon.
Dry weather returns for the second half of the week, which is fantastic news for those traveling for the Thanksgiving holiday. Highs will be near normal in the mid 40s much of this week but will start to tumble into the upper 30s to low 40s by the end of the week.
