Meet CBS 58’s Pet of the Week: Bongo
MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- In Milwaukee, a first-of-its-kind community partnership that only furthers the state's commitment to fighting food insecurity is blooming.
Feeding America Eastern Wisconsin, Rockwell Automation, and Fork Farms announced the launch of "Clock Tower Farms."
It's an indoor hydroponic farm that will grow nutritious produce and distribute it across our hometowns.
"We thought let's build this farm, let's showcase our technology at Fork Farms with Rockwell's technology on the automation side and show the world how fresh food can and should be grown in a way that makes in more accessible to people who need it the most," said Michael Hostad, executive vice president with Impact Partnerships at Fork Farm.
Clock Tower Farms is expected to be fully operational this fall and is located inside Rockwell's Milwaukee headquarters on 2nd Street.
