Clean up begins in Mayville after Wednesday Storm

Workers from the Mayville Department of Public Works began working around 5 o'clock Thursday morning.

Crews spent much of the morning clearing sandbags, and cement blocks that help divert water from Parkview Elementary and St. John's Lutheran School.

Public Works Supervisor Jack Hurst said that the storm was the worst the city has faced in about 10 years, and it will likely take them weeks to complete the clean up efforts.
