City of Wauwatosa purchases former Boston Store property at Mayfair Mall

WAUWATOSA, Wis. (CBS 58) -- The former Boston Store property at Mayfair Mall has a new owner.
The Wauwatosa city authority bought the land for nearly $4 million.
This building has been vacant since the Boston Store closed in 2019.
In a statement, Wauwatosa Mayor Dennis McBride said maintaining Mayfair Mall is critical to the local economy.
He added the property will help drive visitors, provide jobs and increase our tax base.
