WAUKESHA (CBS 58) -- The City of Waukesha and the Waukesha West End Artists announced they are joining forces for the 125th Anniversary edition of the Waukesha Art Crawl on Sat., Oct. 2, 2021 taking place in downtown Waukesha from 4:00 to 9:00 p.m.
CBS 58's Mike Curkov sat down with event organizers, Kevin Layner, Waukesha's City Administrator, and Bob Fesser, a member of West End Artists, to discuss the weekend festivities.
“Our downtown is made up of many beautiful, historic buildings,” said Shawn Reilly, Mayor of Waukesha. “This Art Crawl is great way to honor our City’s history, celebrate our local artists, and tell some of the stories of our downtown through art.”
In recognition of the City’s 125th Anniversary, the weeklong Plein Air Competition will have artists outdoors capturing the beauty of the historic downtown Waukesha buildings.
The public is invited to see the paintings created, view the award winners, and have an opportunity to purchase the art.
More information will be available online at https://waukesha-wi.gov/1919/Anniversary-Events.
