City of Milwaukee winter parking regulations to begin Tuesday, Dec. 1

MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Winter parking regulations will begin in the city of Milwaukee on Tuesday, Dec. 1.

The Department of Public Works released the following rules as a reminder:

Winter Parking Regulations

  • Posted signs take precedence.
  • No parking is allowed on through highways and bus routes from 2-6 a.m.

When a snow emergency is declared:

  • Alternate and side parking is required city-wide from 10 p.m.-6 a.m. except where posted as "No Parking" and on through highways and bus routes.
    • On even-numbered calendar days (before midnight) a vehicle must be legally parked on the side of the street with even house numbers; on odd-numbered calendar days (before midnight) a vehicle must be parked on the side of the street with odd house numbers.

Winter parking regulations will be enforced until March 1, 2021.
