China Lights to feature Asian Cuisine Weekend September 28-30

Asian-inspired cuisine will tempt visitors at this weekend’s China Lights: Panda-Mania lantern festival at Boerner Botanical Gardens. Asian Cuisine Weekend, sponsored by MillerCoors, also gives event-goers the opportunity to participate in food contests.
Asian Cuisine Weekend features
- · 41 larger-than-life sculptural lantern displays
- · An Illumination Parade
- · 6 performances per night Friday through Sunday, with professional acrobats, martial artists, and dancers from China
- · Cultural Displays with replicas of traditional Asian clothing
- · A bustling marketplace, with demonstrations of handicrafts including inner-bottle painting, rock engraving, and Suzhou embroidery/needle painting
- · Asian and Western food and beverage selections, including Gluten-free Spicy Singapore Noodles, Bulgogi Korean Beef Bowl, and Crab Rangoon
- · Saturday & Sunday, Egg Roll and Dumpling Eating Contests
WHEN: China Lights will be open through Oct. 21, Tuesday–Sunday from 5:30–10 p.m. (5 p.m. opening for people who purchase the VIP ticket package)
