MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- The former first daughter stopped at the Vel R. Phillips Juvenile Justice Center in Wauwatosa Friday, Jan. 24.
Chelsea Clinton was representing the Clinton Foundation's early childhood education effort called "Too Small to Fail."
She read to a group of small children and talked about how important it is to promote learning at an early age.
"The main event is watching the children play with the blocks, watching the children play with the letters, watching the children watch the books, and yes, even watching the children try to eat the books," she said. "But at least they are now going to feel comfortable with the books."
Too Small to Fail is working with Milwaukee's Office of Early Childhood Initiatives to create a family read, play and learn space at the Children's Court Center.
