Chain reaction crash causes gridlock on I-94 near Seven Mile Road

RACINE COUNTY, Wis. (CBS 58) -- A chain reaction involving two cars and two trucks created gridlock on northbound I-94 near the Milwaukee and Racine County line Tuesday.

All northbound lanes were closed for about three hours. The crash started when a car hit the median wall after its tire blew.

That caused a semi truck to slow down and get rear-ended by a dump truck.

Leaking fluid from the dump truck sent another car spinning out of control and it hit the median wall as well.

Police say everyone is OK, but it took a while to clean up the wreckage.
