Milwaukee named the best city for creatives, report says
MILWAUKEEE (CBS 58) -- If you're a fan of Milwaukee's Central Standard Craft Distillery, you'll be happy to hear this news. Central Standard is now operating a tavern at Milwaukee Mitchell International Airport.
They cut the ribbon for the Central Standard Tavern on Wednesday, April 15. The new spot is located in concourse C at the airport, offering travelers original food and signature craft cocktails -- a genuine taste of Milwaukee.
Milwaukee County Executive David Crowley pointed out the airport is often the first and last impression that visitors have of Milwaukee County.
"By bringing in strong partners like Central Standard, we're making a clear statement to the world that Milwaukee is a place of quality, creativity and opportunity," Crowley said.
Not only can travelers eat at the airport tavern, but they can also take home Central Standard bottles including its nationally recognized top 100 Cabin Strength Bourbon.
