Cedarburg man arrested for stealing knives from Walmart; officers found an additional 100 knives in his car

Walmart Loss Prevention called the West Bend Police Department to report that a man entered the store, cut open several packages of knives, and concealed them in his clothing.

Police responded to the store, located at 1515 W. Paradise Dr., shortly before 3 p.m. on June 18th. They located the man in the parking lot.

Officers patted down the suspect and recovered 18 knives, heroin, and prescription medication that he did not have a valid prescription for.

Officers found an additional 100 knives in the man's vehicle.

All of those knives were also stolen from Walmarts.

The 26-year-old Cedarburg man was arrested for Retail Theft, Possession of Heroin and Possession of Prescription Medication without a Valid Prescription.
