CBS 58 WEST ALLIS, Wis. (CBS 58) -- 414 Art Revival is now open in West Allis. The second-hand craft store wants to take all of the old craft and art supplies you're planning on throwing away.
"People have basements full of stuff like this and loads of people have told us 'I can open up a store like this with the stuff I have in my basement', and that’s stuff we just don’t want it to wind up in the trash," said Nate Carpenter, co-owner of 414 Art Revival.
Shopping at 414 Art Revival isn't just about sustainability, but affordability too.
Most things in the store can be stuffed into bags priced as low as five dollars.
They have scissors, glue, glitter plus many niche craft supplies like yarn and fabric. So far, the community reception has been one the owners, Julianna Jackson and Nate Carpenter, won't forget.
"We had a line out the door on our opening day which was super unexpected," said Jackson.
The store is open Mondays for donations and Wednesday through Saturday for those looking to score some art supplies.
