CAUGHT ON VIDEO: Thief steals tablet computer from disabled woman

SEATTLE -- Surveillance video caught a robbery that outraged many around the world. Video shows a thief ripping a tablet from the hands of a woman in a wheelchair in a mall in Seattle.


The victim, Carolyn and her husband both are living with cerebral palsy. The couple enjoys visiting the mall, a place they usually feel safe. Carolyn noticed two people watching her and her husband. One of those people walked up and ripped her tablet from her hands. The suspect seen wearing a red t-shirt in surveillance video quickly fled the scene. Carolyn says she was angry, because the ordeal made her feel unsafe.


Robbery detectives with the Seattle Police Department arrested a 17-year-old boy who has a criminal history.
