MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- A large group of protesters unhappy with the Trump administration's treatment of undocumented immigrants were outside the city's ICE office Thursday, Nov. 13.
This demonstration was organized and sponsored by Catholic groups, including the School Sisters of Notre Dame.
Sister Barbara Farr told us that it was important for her to be part of this protest because her faith demands that Catholics act for justice.
"Right now, one of the biggest injustices is against immigrants. The ways they're being picked up on the street, the ways they're being treated, both as they're getting picked up and in detention," said Sister Farr. "The ways they're being separated from families, family is a huge value of ours."
There were special prayers for what organizers call vulnerable migrant populations.
Sister Farr says the administration needs to act differently and change the system.
