RACINE -- A woman was reunited with her cat after five years. Eight-year-old Sammie the cat was brough into the Wisconsin Humane Society Racine Campus by a concerned citizen.
The Racine area woman says Sammie had been coming around her house for the past couple months. She got worried once the weather began to get cold, and brought Sammie into the Wisconsin Humane Society.
The humane society found that Sammie was micro chipped, and called his owner Lindsay O'Neill. We're told its uncommon for strays to have microchips inside them.
The Wisconsin Humane Society offers microchip implantation for just $25 at their vaccine clinics. The chip is about size of a grain of rice.
