MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- The death of a 16-year-old girl who was shot and killed while working at Burger King is affecting many in the community.
Now, a local business leader is working to help.
The owner of Carnevor is selling dinner seats for $1,000 each.
It's a Wagyu dinner with multiple courses, and he'll be donating wine to the dinner.
The goal is to raise $10,000.
"It really hit home, I have a daughter who is turning 16 next month," said Omar Shaikh, owner of Carnevor. "She was doing the right thing. She was going to school, getting good grades, working. It's horrible. One of the most horrible things I've heard in a long time. So anything I, and my friends can do to help this family as much as we can, we will do it."
We're told all of the money raised will be given to the family in an effort to pay for funeral expenses.
