Carlino flourishes at the finish as Marquette knocks off Creighton

Matt Carlino saved five of his 19 points for the game's final minute, helping Marquette escape with a thrilling 53-52 win over Creighton at the BMO Harris Bradley Center.

Carlino hit a jumper with under a minute to play to bring MU within two points. Then, after a Blue Jay turnover, Carlino hit a tough, contested three to give Marquette a one point lead. Creighton elected not to use one of their remaining time outs in the final seconds, but instead tried to set up a play to Will Artino inside. His hook shot missed, and MU walked away with their 10th win overall.
