Car stolen from Waupaca leads police on high speed pursuit before crashing in Brown Deer

BROWN DEER, Wis. (CBS 58) -- Brown Deer Police attempted to stop a vehicle for speeding on Monday.

An officer saw the Chevrolet Cobalt take off at a high rate of speed and run a red light near Brown Deer Road and 64th Street.

A pursuit was initiated and terminated after the vehicle started to turn north onto N. 76th Street.

The vehicle then crashed in the 8000 block of N. 76th Street and was found unoccupied.

It was determined that the vehicle was reported stolen out of the City of Waupaca.

The investigation remains ongoing.
